Background Information

All information pertaining to Noah Schmidt's background and service history has been documented and written without recent confirmation of the validity of the information. This was necessary due to the circumstances that affect Schmidt's ability to recollect his past. All post-transfer records, including operational reports, pschological and medical records, and personal evaluations will be compiled by himself. For this reason, this information should not be taken as the whole truth; it is only what information Command has had compiled over his years of service.

Noah J. Schmidt was born and raised in Fredericksburg, Texas. Due to unknown circumstances, his parents passed away in his early teenage years. Subsequently, his grandparents, unnamed, assumed custody while accepting help of neighbors to take care of him until Schmidt decided to move away for unknown reasons. His early civilian life remains severely undocumented but is considered to not be related to any previously ongoing operations.

Schmidt enlisted into the Chaos Insurgency while traveling independently through Eastern Europe. His recruitment was completely voluntary after he was informed of the risk involved. Initial service records place Schmidt within the forward operating areas during stages of the Occult War, where he was repeatedly exposed to anomalous threats and irregular combat conditions. His performance resulted in being recognized by Command, and further evaluations would assess his loyalty to the Insurgency.

Following his continued service, Schmidt was selected for Dreadnaught training at the recommendation of Commander Delta. Training evaluations noted his increased operational urgency, resiliance, and a willingness to act in situations where hesitiation was the common reaction. These traits existed past his time in training, and have since evolved during his deployment to Cell Omega-2.

Schmidt displays persistent emotional responses to specific command authorities and historical references that are not supported by his personal recollection. These responses do not impair his operational effectiveness and are not considered to be heavily impactful on his day-to-day activities at Cell Omega-2. Earlier assumptions on Schmidt's internal motiviations have since been altered based on his experiences during this deployment.

Transfer to Cell Omega-2 was authorized under Commander Delta's authority following the removal of a previous Commando stationed at the Cell. Service within Cell Omega-2 will continue given the operational mandate and tolerance for non-standard interactions.

Once I was transferred to Cell Omega-2, my understanding of the anomalous world was altered severely. Omega-2, the fuck ups, the ones who get the hand-me-downs, are now all I am worried about. This Cell, and what impacts it, are now a part of me. This place is not a prison, although it may be a punishment, it's an environment that will break down the strongest Insurgents and turn them into well-disciplined and knowledgeable machines. There is no room for error here, and I will live up to my role to act when there is no room for delay. I will do what must be done, for the Insurgency, for humanity to have the power to take back control over their lives.

Thoughts on Personnel
Commander Anhedonia

You are a strong leader, you know where our fight must take place.

[E] I'm glad to have known you.

Commander Sulfur

Main Army listens to you, never lose your grit.

[E] You got to your position in a dishonorable way. Although you seem to lead us well, you need to get behind the idea of a whole Insurgency, instead of factions.

Colonel Schism

You know when to hold your ground, but you need to learn when it's time to compromise.

[E] You need to learn when you're wrong. You need to learn when to ask questions, but more importantly to listen to the answers.

[E2] You've gotten better, you pick up where our Commander may fall short.

Lt.Col. Deicida

Who?

Sana

You know when it's time to take the reigns and control those who do not seem to listen.

[E] Sometimes I don't think you have a hold on the reigns of certain Commandos.

Vigil

You can effectively eliminate almost any Foundation threat, and tell people off when they need to. Stay that way.

Fortis

You are there when the Actual cannot be. You need to leave this "discipline" habit behind.

[E] I hope you die like every other Sarkic. You've been given time, nothing more.

Machina

You are short. However, you are a cornerstone of our development.

[E] I'm glad someone is willing to listen to others.

Crux

You are odd. We'll see how you play out.

[E] You are better than I thought you might be. If you put your mind to something, you could do great things.

Vitae

You are the only other one who understands. Let's just hope we can finish it.

[E] We need to be smarter. We need to be careful of the signs. If you press too hard, I will pull you back. If you go too far, I will end it.

[E2] Slowly you are you becoming what we swore to destroy, if the time comes I will do what must be done. As for iota, I hope you have a good reason to continue going.

Ardor

I'm glad you were selected for your role.

[E] You cannot put your trust into someone that can no longer be trusted. You have to seperate your duty from your feelings.

Medusa

I never thought I would understand you. Now, I don't know what to think.

[E] There is much to be understood, to learn. I will remember when others think not to.

[E2] Every day I spend here, I realize you have true purpose, a good reason to do what you do. I hope to learn that purpose.

Cipactli

Your relationship with Medusa will always keep you a step ahead, I hope you will learn all you can.

Despot

We will find them. We will end the game.

[E] I have missed a lot, however for some reason I can no longer explain, I will ensure we succeed.

Longshot

You're interesting. Very interesting. At least you keep Vitae in check.

Atonement

Not sure where you've come from, or what you are here for.

Junkrat

Thank you for taking care of me. I hope you don't give me a lethal dose.

[E] I'm excited to visit you, I'm confident you are a wonderful Commander.

Logos

Why the fuck can't you understand we're not against you? We're trying to protect everyone else here because you can't see a line without crossing it.

[E] You're beginning to change. Continue. Be the Insurgent you're supposed to be.

[E2] You made your bed, and now you must sleep in it. You were selfish in the end.

Limelight

Keep being you. There needs to be a little light in this dark world.

[E] You must learn when to shine your light, and when the room doesn't need it.

[E2] At this point, someone of your station should understand how to act appropriately.

Paragon

You do good work, but sometimes there are things that you cannot handle.

Thoughts on External Entities
Sarkics
Archon Vo'Lok

You decided to think I wouldn't do anything, but now I cannot wait to see your precious cult burn more than before.

Duke Duvall

What games are you playing now?

[E] This unit made too many mistakes by trusting you.

Lovataar

Vitae seems to be... obsessed

Forgemaster

You're very odd. Maybe you could be useful.

[E] Hopefully others see what you're turning Vitae into, but for now they're blinded by his abilities.

Foundation
'V'

One day they will know what you truly are.

[E] Unexpected. We'll see if you show up.

'Druid'

You're such a weasel. You are dumb enough to get involved, but somehow smart enough to stay alive.

'Garmr'

You're an odd one.

'Cypress'

I've only heard stories. I want to see if you are what they say you are.

[E] You did good work for the Hand, I assume. Hopefully your soul is at peace. On a beach perhaps.

'Obsidian'

I wonder when your unit come asking for help next.

[E] Thankful for your assistance.

'Nephilim'

You've been useful.

'Interloper'

You're an issue. One that will have to be dealt with.

Silence

How do you always end up doing something stupid or weird?

Belial

You've gotta choose at some point.

[E] I hope you chose correctly.

Twin Pines
Abysm

What do you have on Vitae?

Munin

You always get me some good whiskey.

[E] You're good company when things are quiet.

Commine

You at least try to be impartial.

[E] I wonder what you'd score on an IQ test.

Kismet

I'm glad we've been able to do good for both of our sides. Don't ever let them give me "there's a warm boat" again.

Incident Reports

I was given orders by what I perceived to be Cell Commander 'Anhedonia' to retrieve an artifact. This was not truly the Commander, I have suspicion of someone being a false figure of authority, future appearances will be reported immediately.

I will continue to experiment with new topics and be driven to learn as much as I safely can in order to protect all of those around me.

2/1/2026: When she spoke, I felt like I had heard the words before. I know I had a reason to wear the picture. It wasn't a sign of admiration, it was a reminder to do the work that must be done. I cannot recall why, but I know I felt pride, respect, and a sense of urgency when she spoke. Not urgent in the way that ushers someone to a furnace when the air loses its warmth, the urgent that pushes someone to fight for the right reasons. I do not remember her, or my past, and I will not try. I will remember what can be remembered, and forget what cannot.

2/5/2026: I have seen, read, and heard a lot in an amount of time that feels too short. I do not know if I will ever understand it all, but I will try. I will remember what can be remembered, and forget what cannot. I will train to the best of my ability. I will be the dagger that people use to cut an idea, or something that wants to be one. I will keep an anchor, to remind myself of the values that will keep me thinking straight, that will let me make the right decisions, and to remind myself that I am mortal. I have much to do, so I will do what can be done.
